Jung

Jung is a London based songwriter and sound artist. His debut album Choices [released on Multibody Records, June 2023] explores the self as process. Through the mediation of songs, poetry, instrumentals, rap, and voice-note recordings, the album seesaws between obfuscation and revelation, in an attempt to move beyond the binary and embrace a plurality of selves.

Choices, is a moving exploration of childhood memory, the turmoil of relationships, and the messy contradictory decisions we make. Written during lockdown, Jung used the opportunity for reflection to produce an intimate commentary on the myth of male invulnerability through this experimental pop album.

“I like the orchestral moments...how theatrical it is” - Jamz Supernova, BBC6 Music

"It's making me feel quite emotional" Deb Grant, BBC6 Music

"fearless exploration of the human condition...'Choices' emerges as an artistic statement that is as bold as it is deeply personal" Rough Trade

“An accomplished, confident collection that is incredibly thought-provoking and unafraid to take risks…an excellent debut, one which hints at great things to come.” Gordon Rutherford, Louder Than War

Strangelove

"Strangelove have cultivated a mean sound and a lot of fans in just a few years. The left-leaning underground hip-hop trio combine abstract, coded lyricism with cinematic soundscapes, and their style is so appealing that even Homeboy Sandman of Stones Throw Records is a fan, which says a lot about how far they have extended their appeal." DUMMY MAG

In 2017 the group released EP1 & 2, both adventurous and experimental offerings that gained the band radio play from the likes of Bradley Zero on Radio 1 and Jon Hillcock on BB6 Music.
