FACILITATION

Dwam

An international cross-disciplinary arts collective, that curates events and runs artist residencies. I co-facilitate these week-long residencies, which bring together 15 artists from various disciplines for collaborative exploration. The collective has produced sold-out events, drawing over 1,000 attendees.

Josh is a Facilitator, Performer and Access Support Worker for Blink Dance Theatre, most recently working on BEAT-FLYS, at Battersea Arts Centre. BEAT-FLYS invites the audience to take on the main character role on a fantastical journey.

"Josh has a rare ability to intuit a person’s essence and connect with them easily. His ability to put people at ease creates a unique spark, which allows participants to reach their optimum creative expression, despite any barrier they may have in accessing the arts.

His deep commitment to his creative practice and strong sense of self allows him to keep his own creativity intact, I always find this really impressive. From what I have observed I think this means the creative partnerships he forms across various settings are always beautifully balanced and exciting."

Vicki Hawkins, Co-Director of BLINK dance theatre.

Spotlight SEND Lead

Josh co-ordinates the SEND programme at award-winning youth centre, Spotlight, in Tower Hamlets. Additionally, he facilitates regular accessible music workshops, including studio sessions, that dismantle barriers so that disabled young people can access their own creativity.
